Self-styled godman Asaram Bapu granted interim bail by Supreme Court in 2013 rape case

The Supreme Court granted interim bail to Asaram in a 2013 rape case on medical grounds until March 31. The court directed him not to meet his followers post-release. Asaram, 86, suffering from multiple health issues, is serving a life sentence and sought suspension of his sentence. The court will review his medical condition further.
